1. Chit-ê gián-thó-hoē hoat-piáu hêng-sek hun chò kháu-thâu hoat-piáu kap hái-pò hoat-piáu 2 chióng. Kháu-thâu hoat-piáu ê sî-kan chiām-tēng (àn chham-ka jîn-sò͘ chò tiâu-chéng) 20 hun-cheng, thó-lūn 10 hun-cheng. Hái-pò hoat-piáu ê khong-kan sī choân khai toā-sè (80cm x 120cm). 2 chióng long sī chèng-sek hoat-piáu, chhiáⁿ tâu-kó-chiá kun-kù lūn-bûn sèng-chit soán-te̍k hêng-sek.
2. Tiah-iàu chhiáⁿ iōng A4 ê chóa phah-jī, lōe-iông í 1 ia̍h ūi-hān. Lōe-iông ê jī-thé iōng 12p, ia̍h-piⁿ ê téng hām ē lâu 2.54 cm, siang-pêng lâu 3.17 cm, chi̍t-chōa chi̍t-chōa tiong-kan ê kū-lī sī 1.5 cm.
3. Tiah-iàu ê thâu-chêng ia̍h chhiáⁿ chù-bêng a) Lūn-bûn tê-ba̍k kap hoat-piáu hêng-sek, b) chok-chiá ê miâ, c) thâu-lō͘ ê tan-ūi, d) chit-ūi ê chheng-ho͘, e) liân-lo̍k chū-chí, f) liân-lo̍k tiān-ōe, kap g) e-mail.
4. Tiah-iàu chhiáⁿ iōng Word kap PDF 2 chióng hêng-sek, iōng e-mail hù-kiāⁿ kià kòe-lâi tāi-hoē email. Email phiau-tê chhiáⁿ chù-bêng tâu-kó-chiá kap “tâu-kó Lô-má-jī gián-thó-hoē” jī-kù.
5. Chit ê gián-thó-hoē ū sím-cha-chè. Tāi-hōe ē tī thong-ti cha̍h-chí chìn-chêng thong-ti tâu-kó-chiá kám ū lio̍k-chhú--bô. Lūn-bûn hông lo̍k-chhú--ê, chhiáⁿ í tāi-hōe kui-tēng ê lūn-bûn keh-sek lâi siá lūn-bûn (thong-ti lo̍k-chhú ê sî ē sīn-sòa kong-kò), koh tī chôan-bûn chia̍t-kó ji̍t-kî chìn-chêng, chiōng lūn-bûn chôan-bûn kià tńg-lâi tāi-hōe.
6. Tāi-hōe ê chèng-sek gí-giân sī Tâi-ôan gí-giân kap Eng-gí. Tâi-gí Lô-má-jī chhiáⁿ iōng Pe̍h-oē-jī he̍k-chiá KIP ê Tâi-lô Pheng-im, IPA chhiáⁿ iōng DoulosSIL Unicode jī-hêng. Hôa-gí, Ji̍t-gí kap Oa̍t-lâm-gí tī hōe-tiûⁿ chí-iàu bô lâng hóan-tùi , mā thèng-hó sú-iōng.
7. Tāi-hōe bô siu pò-miâ-hùi mā bô thê-kiong it-poaⁿ hoat-piáu-chiá kau-thong-hùi kap toà-mê ê ho̍k-bū. Kháu-gí hoat-piáu-chiá nā ū chiàu téng-bīn tāi-hoē ê kui-tēng àn-sî thê-kiong lūn-bûn choân-bûn-kó chiá, tāi-hoē ē thê-kiong kó-hùi.

Keynote speaker: Prof. Robert Cheng (Emeritus professor, U of Hawaii at Manoa)
Papers with the following topics are invited:
(1) The contributions of Professor Robert Cheng for the promotion of Taiwanese language
(2) The origin and development of Peh-oe-ji (POJ)
(3) Study of literary works and publications in POJ
(4) Teaching and testing of POJ
(5) A comparative study of POJ and Romanization in other countries
(6) Linguistic and sociolinguistic aspects of POJ
(7) POJ and contemporary Taiwanese language movement
(8) Any other issues related to POJ, Romanization, or the Taiwanese language(s)
Submission guideline:
(1) Abstracts for paper and poster presentations are all welcome. Paper presentations are expected to give an oral presentation in 20 minutes with an extra 10 minutes for discussions. Poster presentation will be given a space (80cm x 120cm) during the conference day. They are all considered official presentations. The prospective presenters should choose either mode of presentation depending on the most effective and informative way of communicating the scientific content of their research.
(2) The abstract must be limited to one page, with font size 12p, margins 1” (top and bottom) and 1.25” (left and right), line spacing 1.5.
(3) Please add an information page prior to the abstract page. The information should include a) title of the paper and mode of presentation, b) author(s), c) affiliation, d) position, e) mailing address, f) phone number, g) e-mail.
(4) The abstract must be saved as Word and PDF formats, and email to the following address. Please add author’s name with the phrase “abstract for 2011 conference on Taiwanese Romanization” to the title of email.
(5) Submitted papers will be peer reviewed. The conference organizers will send out the result of review by the deadline of notification. For the accepted presenters, please write your paper with the conference designated format (will be posted later) and submit your full paper by the deadline mentioned above.
(6) The official languages of the conference include the Taiwanese languages and English. Only traditional POJ and MOE’s Tai-lo Pheng-im are accepted for Taiwanese Romanization. DoulosSIL Unicode font is recommended for IPA transcription. Mandarin Chinese, Japanese, and Vietnamese may be used as long as no body is opposed to them.
(7) No registration fee is required for all presenters. Limited honorarium will be provided to the paper presenters whose papers are submitted by deadline and written in the designated format. However, travel and loading expenses are at presenters’ own charge.

(8) Any other issues related to POJ, Romanization, or the Taiwanese language(s)
Submission guideline:
(1) Abstracts for paper and poster presentations are all welcome. Paper presentations are expected to give an oral presentation in 20 minutes with an extra 10 minutes for discussions. Poster presentation will be given a space (80cm x 120cm) during the conference day. They are all considered official presentations. The prospective presenters should choose either mode of presentation depending on the most effective and informative way of communicating the scientific content of their research.
(2) The abstract must be limited to one page, with font size 12p, margins 1” (top and bottom) and 1.25” (left and right), line spacing 1.5.
(3) Please add an information page prior to the abstract page. The information should include a) title of the paper and mode of presentation, b) author(s), c) affiliation, d) position, e) mailing address, f) phone number, g) e-mail.
(4) The abstract must be saved as Word and PDF formats, and email to the following address. Please add author’s name with the phrase “abstract for 2011 conference on Taiwanese Romanization” to the title of email.
(5) Submitted papers will be peer reviewed. The conference organizers will send out the result of review by the deadline of notification. For the accepted presenters, please write your paper with the conference designated format (will be posted later) and submit your full paper by the deadline mentioned above.
(6) The official languages of the conference include the Taiwanese languages and English. Only traditional POJ and MOE’s Tai-lo Pheng-im are accepted for Taiwanese Romanization. DoulosSIL Unicode font is recommended for IPA transcription. Mandarin Chinese, Japanese, and Vietnamese may be used as long as no body is opposed to them.
(7) No registration fee is required for all presenters. Limited honorarium will be provided to the paper presenters whose papers are submitted by deadline and written in the designated format. However, travel and loading expenses are at presenters’ own charge.
