Re: Fwd: Extended Bopomofo for Indigenous Languages of Taiwan
ti 2005/3/7 ChS 08:13 sia-kong:
Unicode provided a chart of extended Bopomofo for Minnan and Hakka <http://www.unicode.org/charts/PDF/U31A0.pdf> I am looking for charts of additional Bopomofo characters required to transcribe texts of Taiwanese indigenous languages such as Atayal, Paiwan, Sediq (Taroko), Yami. My search in the www has been unsuccesful so far. Can anybody assist me ?`
I am not aware of an equivalent scheme, though I believe some indigenous languages were transcribed in BoPoMofo years ago, probably to get around the government's rather foolish attempts to ban romanisation.`
